[Hiring] Associate Interior Designer @Penbrothers

Role Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Associate Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for workplace design, a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing commercial office spaces, and the ability to translate client needs into innovative design solutions. You will work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure our workspaces meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Work Set-up:

• 100% Work from home
• Work Schedule: Day Shift - 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Philippine Time) with flexible working hours.
• Note: Employees may adjust their schedule, provided there is sufficient overlap with the client’s team in India for collaboration.

What You’ll Do (Duties and Responsibilities)

• Undertake design project from concept to completion.
• Coordinate and execute design solutions for projects in interior design and fit-out works under the supervision of the Lead Designer.
• Contribute to meetings with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Determine the client's goals and requirements of the project with the Lead Designer.
• Interpret and translate customer needs into space planning.
• Develop concept design and present creative interior proposals.
• Research and collect initial ideas, and acquire key information about projects. Discuss requirements in detail with colleagues and clients.
• Propose materials based on set budget.
• Conduct feasibility studies for projects.
• Research and gather information and photographs related to the project.
• Produce 'sample boards' for presentation to clients.
• Prepare detailed space plan, often using computer-aided design (CAD/REVIT) software.
• Work in a team with other designers.
• Work closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on larger projects with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space.
• Work closely with the client and other departments to finalize corporate design, 3D and GFC drawings.
• Collaborate with the execution support team to ensure your design turns into reality seamlessly.
• Research and follow industry changes, evolution and best practices of Design & Material.
• Keep up to date with new developments in the design industry.
• Research and follow websites/magazines/blogs/industry changes, evolutions and best practices to stay updated on design trends and improve your skills.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of professional experience in interior design, with at least 1 year of relevant workplace or commercial office design experience.
• Experience in space planning, layout development, and translating design concepts into practical workspace solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting, technical drawings, and space planning.
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and visualizing interior spaces.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for preparing and enhancing design presentations and client-facing materials.
• Strong creativity, conceptualization, and visualization skills, with the ability to develop functional and visually appealing interior design concepts.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain design ideas, share recommendations, and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience with Autodesk Revit is advantageous but not required, as the team plans to provide training and transition toward using the software.
• Experience with 3D rendering software to enhance design visualizations and presentations is a plus.
