[Hiring] Associate Designer @Bishop-McCann

Role Description

You are a curious, collaborative designer early in your career with strong creative instincts, a love of the craft, and an eagerness to learn, contribute, and make great work. You understand the fundamentals of typography, hierarchy, color, composition, imagery, and layout, and you care about getting the details right, from spelling and brand standards to image resolution, file organization, production specs, and deadlines.

You are curious about the idea behind the work and interested in designing beyond the page, learning how an identity moves across presentations, screens, signage, environments, digital touchpoints, and the larger attendee experience. You ask questions, contribute ideas, welcome feedback, and are eager to learn from more experienced creatives.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of professional graphic design experience, including internships, freelance, agency, or in-house experience.
• A portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals, visual thinking, curiosity, and potential across brand identity, presentations, print, digital, or related work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and an interest in developing presentation design and visual storytelling skills.
• Basic understanding of preparing files for print and digital production.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client programs and events.

Requirements

• Event or environmental design experience.
• Familiarity with Figma, After Effects, motion graphics, 3D, or spatial design.
