Role Description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening to join our team as an associate technology design consultant. This full-time position is anticipated to be remote, with some travel to project sites required.

Accountable for the accurate and timely execution of internal design phase deliverables, the associate design consultant supports the successful delivery of technology consulting projects during the design phase. The role plays a supporting role in coordinating design activities, maintaining alignment across teams, and enabling disciplined project execution under the direction of senior team members. This position focuses on executing defined design phase tasks and contributing to documentation accuracy and coordination across assigned projects.

Working closely with senior team members, this role helps ensure that design phase work is well organized, clearly documented, and internally aligned with project objectives. The associate consultant contributes to design development through preparation and coordination of technical documentation, participation in design reviews, and quality assurance activities for assigned work.

Through structured execution, attention to detail, and a hospitality forward approach, this role helps maintain quality, reduce delivery risk, and ensure internal design deliverables are complete, well-coordinated, and ready to support downstream project phases.

Qualifications

• One to two years of related professional experience in building engineering and design (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, audiovisual and low voltage systems or similar) or equivalent in education.
• Two-year or higher degree in a relevant technical field required. Four-year degree preferred.
• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) professional certification preferred (or commitment to achieve certification within 12 months).
• Fundamental understanding of project management principles and design and construction processes.
• A general understanding of commercial and institutional AV technology applications and operations including familiarity with audio systems and sound reinforcement, video display technologies, video collaboration solutions, and digital signage platforms.
• Knowledge of AV signal management and integrated control systems is preferred, as well as experience with data networking.
• Suitable environment for audio and video calls, remote work anticipated when not traveling.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in all MS Office applications, Bluebeam, and relevant AI tools.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics in a business environment.
• Commitment to relevant ongoing professional development and technical training.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables and shift priorities as necessary.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written form.
• Ability to absorb and understand written business communication and respond professionally and hospitably in every situation.
