[Hiring] Assessment Developer @AQA

Role Description

The Assessment Developer is a key role in ensuring the delivery of world-class service to learners and Apprentices. As an Assessment Developer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and successfully approving new assessments/qualifications.
• Utilising assessment knowledge and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring assessments are valid, reliable, accessible, and industry-leading.
• Supporting the Assessment Developer Lead/Assessment Manager in overseeing development of assessment strategies.
• Responding to feedback from Ofqual on new approvals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on the design and development of assessments for regulated and non-regulated qualifications.
• Contribute to the development of new assessment constructs and strategies.
• Collaborate with the Assessment Production Team, Qualifications Development Team, and EQA Team.
• Recruit and maintain a network of external subject matter experts.
• Communicate professionally with subject matter experts regarding assessment papers and mark schemes.
• Use technology for effective communication with external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in assessment design and delivery.
• Support day-to-day operational functions of the wider Product Development Team as needed.

Other Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an understanding of TQUK internal processes and the wider educational landscape.
• Contribute to periodic reviews and updates of internal processes.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of TQUK products and services.
• Manage data by maintaining version controls and using the Assessment Design Team file structures.
