Role Description

The Art Director manages many aspects of graphic design and will work on both marketing/promotional initiatives as well as product design to create a cohesive, recognizable brand statement. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with well-developed critical thinking skills who can process, react to, and solve problems in a timely manner as they arise.

• Creates unique, high-end, high-impact marketing & promotional campaign assets including but not limited to trade show booths, print ads, web display banners (static and animated), logos, posters, PowerPoint decks, signage, premiums, and all collateral.
• Contributes to creative brainstorming sessions, offering ideas, feedback, and insight on conceptual approach and execution.
• Implements process efficiencies as a standard of practice for the department of designers.
• Ensures brand consistency throughout various marketing projects.
• Pursues innovative ways to promote the brands.
• Organizes, catalogues, and maintains online image library of shows/talent/relevant brand assets.
• Identifies photos for marketing projects.
• Completes projects with creativity and attention to detail.
• Proofreads all projects, aiming for an error-free final product.
• Communicates effectively and regularly to develop concepts.
• Keeps up to date with industry developments.
• Reviews freelance designers' drafts to ensure quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four-year related degree and a minimum of 5-7 years design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
• Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills.
• Able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate and PowerPoint in a Mac environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for communication.
• Proficient in designing both large and small PowerPoint deck design.
• Possess strong conceptual skills, high level sense of design, layout and typography, a broad thinker who can offer a variety of design solutions.
• Proven time management, organizational, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
