Role Description

Seeking a highly skilled Architectural Draftsperson with strong experience in Australian residential documentation and building standards. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Australian building codes, demonstrates strong technical drafting capability, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings including:
  • Floor plans, elevations, and sections
  • Construction and detail drawings
  • Site and layout plans
• Convert conceptual designs into precise technical documentation
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and standards
• Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability
• Revise drawings based on internal feedback and regulatory requirements
• Maintain organized documentation, file management, and version control
• Assist in preparing drawings for permits, approvals, and construction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in architectural drafting or documentation
• Proficiency in industry-standard drafting software such as:
  • AutoCAD (required)
  • Revit or similar BIM tools (preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction methods and detailing
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

Requirements

• Experience in Australian building codes and regulations (e.g., NCC)
• Experience working on Australian-based projects or with international teams
