[Hiring] 2D Moho Animator @Telos Media

Role Description

We're looking for a 2D animator who knows Moho well and loves turning scripts and storyboards into entertaining, polished animation. You'll work on Human Buddy , one of Telos Media's brands, an animated medicine show where the Doctor and a cast of sentient living organs explore the human body, medicine and health through comedy, storytelling and animation.

What you'll be obsessed about:

• Making every scene work.
• Caring about timing, acting, expressions, movement, and all the small details that make 2D animation feel alive.
• Thinking about what the character is doing, why they're doing it, and how the animation supports the joke, explanation, or story.
• Being the kind of person who watches a scene and thinks: “This could land better. I know what I'd change.”

What you'll do:

• Animate Human Buddy episodes in Moho, working from approved scripts and storyboards.
• Animate characters, props, backgrounds, transitions, and other visual elements.
• Create and work with character rigs in Moho.
• Turn storyboards into polished animation while keeping the timing, acting, and visual storytelling clear.
• Match the established Human Buddy visual style and keep your scenes consistent with the rest of the episode.
• Work closely with the Creative Director and other animators to maintain consistency across the episode.
• Take feedback and make revisions quickly.
• Flag problems early and figure out practical solutions rather than waiting for someone else to catch them.
• Keep your scenes organised and deliver them according to the agreed production schedule.
• Use motion graphics when needed to support explanations, transitions, jokes, and other visual elements.
• Look for ways to make the animation more efficient without compromising the quality of the final video.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as a 2D animator.
• Strong Moho experience. You should be very comfortable working in Moho without needing step-by-step instructions.
• Hands-on experience with character rigging in Moho.
• Strong understanding of 2D animation principles, including timing, spacing, posing, and character acting.
• Experience working from scripts and storyboards.
• Good visual storytelling instincts. You understand how animation can make a scene clearer, funnier, or more engaging.
• Able to work within an established visual style rather than needing to define the entire style yourself.
• Very organised and able to manage your own scenes and deadlines.
• Comfortable collaborating with other animators and taking direction from a Creative Director.
• Good at taking feedback and turning it into concrete changes.
• Proactive. If you see something that could be better, you say so and ideally fix it.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving production environment.

Bonus points

• Strong motion graphics skills.
• Experience animating for YouTube or other digital-first content.
• Experience working on comedy, educational, or explainer animation.
• Experience working with a distributed animation team.
• You're a Human Buddy, SolarBalls, MrSpherical, or Telos Media fan.

Hours

Part-time, with flexible working hours and regular overlap with the South America-based team. You'll need enough overlap with the team to collaborate, receive feedback, and keep production moving, but we're flexible about your exact working hours.
