Role Description

This role involves gathering disparate data from various sources, analyzing and normalizing the data to ensure quality for analysis.

  • Serves as a resource to assigned client in area of expertise.
  • Gathers and compiles raw data; conducts research for industry trends and benchmarks; normalizes data for centralized format.
  • Analyzes, reports, and makes comparisons to industry/company benchmarks; determines trends and prepares cost analyses.
  • Defines data definitions and documents data limitations.
  • Prepares spreadsheets for data analysis; prepares reports with charts, graphs, mailing lists, maps, and ad hoc requests.
  • May make presentations and provide recommendations based on findings and analysis.
  • Provides input on policies and procedures.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental projects.
  • May serve as Team Lead and train Analysts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification is required in some areas.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a Product Pricing analytic role – REQUIRED.
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret large complex data to improve decision making regarding price setting and management – REQUIRED.
  • Proficient with Excel and Tableau or Power BI – REQUIRED.
  • Strength in pricing diagnostics - REQUIRED.
  • Experience in construction supply distribution price management and price setting based on analytical discoveries - HIGHLY PREFERRED.
  • Self-starter and can manage multiple workstreams/projects.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with business partners to solve problems, support, propose logical solutions, and drive results.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple work streams.
  • Prepares reports and data analysis for key stakeholders, including a visual representation of the data.
  • Develop recommendations based on data insights for changes in price points to unlock price/unit elasticity.
  • Develops and recommends changes to business processes and policies to improve price performance.
  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills to deal creatively with complex situations.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems.
  • Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.
  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results.
  • Determines and develops an approach to solutions.
  • Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.
  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc.
  • Proficiency with Pricefx.

  • This position may be remote, or hybrid based on location.
  • Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work two days a week in our Doraville, GA Field Support Center.
