Role Description
This role involves contributing statistical programming capabilities and programming leadership at all stages of projects, from planning to completion.
- Work with junior team members in designing, developing, and delivering client solutions across multiple projects
- Leverage competencies in statistical theory, data analysis and interpretation, regression analysis, and experimental design
Project Execution
- Act as a lead statistical programmer to interact with the study team and the sponsor
- Review case report forms (CRFs), data management plans, data specifications, and other related study documents
- Prepare specifications for CDISC and other analysis datasets
- Independently develop SAS programs to generate listings, tables, and figures as outlined by a statistical analysis plan
- Perform QC and validation of TLFs, CDISC, and other analysis datasets
- Direct project teams in the design, development, and delivery of client solutions across multiple projects
- Provide high-level input to the development of client deliverables
- Provide advice and support to existing clients both within and outside of projects
- Help manage existing business accounts and identify new business opportunities for Parexel
- Proactively mentor and develop members of the team
- Ensure optimal levels of client management are maintained
- Ensure quality standards are adhered to on all projects
- Foster thought leadership opportunities in Advanced Analytics
- Work with Senior Management colleagues to identify further service opportunities
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure that all assigned projects are conducted efficiently and that quality and client satisfaction are maximized
- Support and train Senior associates and Associates in their daily duties
- Flag any areas of acute training needs to line managers
- Maintain client relationships on projects
Skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
- Excellent scientific, business writing, and presentation skills with close attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, especially in relaying technical information and project concepts
- Competent in written and spoken English
- Proficient in SAS (Base, Stat, Graph, Macro), R, SPSS, STATA, and WinBUGS
Knowledge and Experience
- Relevant years of working experience with healthcare consulting or pharmaceutical organizations
- Strong statistical programming skills with standard software, including SAS, R, or STATA
- Strong communication (spoken and written) and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, in non-technical terms, with project team members
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Ability to take a leadership role regarding methodological elements in projects
Education
- MSc or PhD in Health Economics, Health Policy, Statistics, Biostatics, Mathematics, computer sciences, or other quantitative fields
