Role Description
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Scientist with expertise in natural language processing (NLP) to lead our NLP team. As the NLP Team Lead, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of data scientists working on challenging NLP projects. You will provide technical leadership, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality NLP solutions.
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists working on NLP projects, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.
- Drive innovation and research in NLP, exploring new techniques, algorithms, and technologies to enhance our capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and architect scalable and efficient NLP solutions, considering factors such as performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality NLP solutions, meeting project deadlines and objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in NLP and related fields, and promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
- Act as a subject matter expert in NLP, providing insights and guidance to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a strong focus on NLP.
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams of data scientists, with the ability to inspire and mentor team members.
- Extensive experience in developing and deploying NLP models, including language models, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and speech-to-text technologies.
- Deep expertise in Python and NLP libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Transformers, and proficiency in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with hands-on experience in building and deploying complex models.
- Experience in leading end-to-end NLP projects, from problem definition to solution delivery and deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to solve complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Research publications in the field of NLP or related areas are a plus.
