YDay - Compassion International is hiring a remote Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. 💸 Salary: usd 106,400 - 127,511 per year 📍Location: USA

Role Description

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will serve as a strategic partner to Governance, Risk & Assurance (GRA) and the broader General Counsel Strategy Office (GCSO), helping teams across the organization transform data into actionable insights and better business decisions.

In this role, you'll develop a deep understanding of Compassion's data landscape, systems, and business processes, using business intelligence, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities to identify opportunities for operational improvement, process automation, and informed decision-making. You will work hands-on with complex datasets and collaborate with stakeholders across Governance, Risk & Assurance, People & Culture, Global Security, Marketing, Global Program, IT, and enterprise data communities.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape how data and AI are leveraged within a growing function, helping teams move low-value work into systems and automation so they can focus on higher-impact activities.

As the Operational Data Steward for GCSO, this role serves as a key resource for data governance, reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives that support the division's strategic priorities.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children and commit to child protection considerations in all decision-making.
  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors.
  • Serve as the primary business intelligence and analytics partner for Governance, Risk & Assurance and the General Counsel Strategy Office.
  • Build a deep understanding of Compassion's data ecosystem, including data sources, repositories, system relationships, and organizational data structures.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges, uncover opportunities, and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, data models, and analytical tools that support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and improved use of technology across business functions.
  • Support governance, policy administration, risk management, and audit initiatives through data analysis and business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Global Security, People & Culture, Marketing, Global Program, IT, and other organizational teams to deliver insights and solve business problems.
  • Participate in enterprise data and AI initiatives, partnering with communities such as the AI Center of Excellence, BI Center of Excellence, and Data Opportunities Council.
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations and presentations for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support and guidance related to reporting tools, databases, data structures, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Continuously identify innovative ways data and technology can improve organizational effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor who can influence stakeholders, build credibility, and drive adoption of data-informed practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics, data management, information systems, AI, machine learning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with complex datasets, data repositories, reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions and AI-powered technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, enterprise systems, and how data flows across an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience evaluating and validating AI solutions, including assessing accuracy, hallucinations, bias, fairness, consistency, drift, and overall performance.
  • Technical proficiency with APIs, Python, and modern data and AI platforms.
  • Proven ability to identify, implement, and optimize data-driven, technology-enabled, and AI-powered solutions that improve business processes and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Proven ability to work independently, build trusted partnerships, and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams to influence outcomes.
  • Keeps current with emerging AI trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Passion for mission-driven work and a commitment to using technology responsibly to support and protect children.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Snowflake, Tableau, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise technology platforms.
  • Background in enterprise architecture, systems development, application development, or other technical disciplines.
  • Experience comparing, testing, and implementing AI models, generative AI tools, or large language model (LLM) solutions.
  • Experience supporting governance, risk, audit, compliance, or corporate support functions.

Benefits

  • Receive generous paid time off.
  • 10% contribution to a 403(b) retirement fund on top of your salary.
  • Excellent healthcare coverage.
  • Free short-term professional counseling.
  • Participate in regular chapel services, prayer groups, and department devotionals.
