Role Description

The SAP Business Data Cloud Senior Developer is responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise data integration and analytics solutions across SAP and Azure platforms. This role focuses on SAP Datasphere and enables seamless integration with Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake, Databricks, and Power BI.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP's data fabric along with strong experience delivering scalable, high-performance data architectures that support reporting, analytics, and planning across finance, operations, and enterprise analytics functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture
  • Design and implement SAP data solutions aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.
  • Define scalable architecture integrating SAP Business Data Cloud / Datasphere with Azure Data Lake.
  • Ensure support for SAP-native analytics and external tools such as Power BI.
• Data Modeling & Development
  • Develop and manage remote tables, views, and data models using SAP Datasphere.
  • Create and customize CDS Views for reporting and analytics.
  • Design and maintain data replication and federation strategies in SAP Datasphere.
  • Design analytical models for SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI.
• Data Integration
  • Integrate SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and third-party systems.
  • Assist in building pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Support transformation using SAP Databricks.
• Analytics Enablement
  • Support reporting through SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI.
  • Develop scalable datasets and semantic models.
  • Enable Power BI connectivity to SAP Datasphere.
• Performance Optimization
  • Optimize transformations using SQL, data flows, and ADF tuning.
  • Ensure scalability and reliability across SAP and Azure.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Gather and translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Communicate effectively across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in SAP data platforms.
• Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud / Datasphere, including replication and federation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and ECC connectivity.
• Experience with SAP tables and CDS views.
• Experience with Power BI and SAP Datasphere integration.
• Experience with SDI, OData, and JDBC integrations.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with SAP Databricks.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
• Experience with hybrid SAP + Azure architecture.
• Knowledge of SAP modules (FI, SD, MM, PS).
