Role Description
As a QuickSight Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing interactive and insightful data visualizations using Amazon QuickSight. Your role will focus on transforming complex data sets into meaningful dashboards and reports, enabling stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Design and implement data visualizations using Amazon QuickSight to convert raw data into meaningful dashboards and reports.
- Connect QuickSight to various data sources, including AWS RDS, S3, and other databases, to integrate and present data seamlessly.
- Ensure the accuracy and performance of visualizations, optimizing for speed, usability, and clarity.
- Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure that visualizations align with business goals and stakeholder needs.
- Write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for visualizations.
- Apply data visualization best practices to ensure clarity, usability, and actionable insights.
- Support the adoption and enhancement of QuickSight within the organization, driving its use for reporting and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Amazon QuickSight for creating dashboards and reports.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices to create clear and actionable insights.
- Experience connecting QuickSight to data sources such as AWS RDS, S3, and other databases.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques to identify key trends and insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure visualizations deliver accurate and valuable business intelligence.
