[Hiring] Manager - Data Architecture @Ellucian

Role Description

Ellucian Company LLC has a F/T opening for Manager, - Data Architecture, Data & Analytics Office in Reston, VA 20191 (HQ). Duties are to:

• Lead and manage a team of data architects responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data solutions across platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt.
• Define and evolve Ellucian’s enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
• Oversee the development of scalable data models, pipelines, and integration patterns that support structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Partner cross-functionally with business, product, and technology teams to align data architecture with strategic goals and enable self-service analytics and predictive insights.
• Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and compliance with data governance, lineage, and security standards.
• Provide architectural leadership for data visualization and embedded analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other tools.
• Stay current on emerging trends in cloud data architecture, data mesh, generative AI, and modern data governance technologies.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

100% remote position – home benefits available. Annual salary: $236,246.00.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or its foreign equivalent in Info Systems, Info. Management, Computer Science, or Info. Technology or closely related discipline.
• Higher degree accepted but not required.

Requirements

• 60 months’ experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or BI development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• 3 years' experience in each of the following:
• Cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks).
• Modern data stack tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Airflow etc.).
• Translating technical architecture into business value.
• Enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and ServiceNow.
• Building scalable, governed, and future-ready data platforms.
• Stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.
