Role Description

The Data Governance Analyst (DGA) is a transformational position that requires working with business owners and across the organization in facilitating cross-functional team engagement. The Data Governance Analyst Lead must be able to work independently and with others to determine the best course in bringing an enterprise data governance mindset to create and adhere to data usage and quality standards. As a Data Governance Analyst Lead, you are expected to help the organization take the right next step in being able to deliver enterprise analytics in the form of ‘trusted data’ insights.

• Ability to translate business users' requests into data governance requirements.
• Source analysis and data stewardship evangelization to improve enterprise data maturity.
• Thrive in an entrepreneurial agile scrum environment.
• Exude professionalism with the Informatics team and executive management.
• Help implement and adhere to data governance best practices.

Qualifications

• Healthcare professional degree qualification (Ph.D., MD., RN., CPhT., RPhT.) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, engineering, accounting, finance, management information systems, or another related field. In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

Requirements

• Professional clinical experience within clinical oncology preferred.
• 6+ years in active healthcare big-data integration experience with multiple heterogeneous data sources.
• Experience with data cleansing and reference/master data management on an enterprise data warehouse.
• Initiating a data governance program in the formation of operating framework, policies/procedures, and data standardization.
