[Hiring] GCP Data Engineer @Poland and Middle-Eastern Europe

Role Description

You will be:

• Developing and maintaining Lakehouse Gold and Platinum layers.
• Building and optimizing data transformation workflows using dbt and PySpark.
• Designing, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines with Airflow.
• Improving BigQuery performance and supporting FinOps optimization initiatives.
• Managing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
• Supporting cloud security and data governance practices, including IAM and DLP.
• Working with Dataplex for data management and governance.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with dbt.
• Experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with PySpark-based data processing.
• Practical experience with BigQuery.
• Experience designing and developing data lakehouse solutions.
• Knowledge of medallion architecture concepts.
• Experience with performance and cost optimization in BigQuery.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD implementation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Understanding of data security concepts including IAM, RBAC/ABAC, policy tagging, and DLP.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience participating in code reviews and establishing engineering standards.
• Ability to provide technical consulting and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Requirements

• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

• Experience in regulated environments such as financial services.
• Knowledge of cloud data governance best practices.
