[Hiring] Databricks Data Architect @SET Europa

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data products in Databricks and DBT, delivering hands-on code within an established CI/CD framework, and supporting the migration and modernisation of treasury-related data solutions.

• Strong understanding of inbound data flows.
• Ability to create calculations and transformations in DBT.
• Experience defining scalable data architectures and building robust data products.
• Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure solutions are reliable, scalable, and aligned with architectural standards.

The consultant will play a key role in two main project deliverables:

• Supporting the migration of a legacy Treasury solution from SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to Databricks, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and compliance with architectural standards.
• Providing architectural support for existing Databricks solutions built on top of a legacy database environment, helping optimise data structures, transformations, and overall platform design.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of overall professional experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with the required technologies.
• Strong experience with Databricks and DBT.
• Solid expertise in data architecture and data product development.
• Experience designing and implementing data transformations, calculations, and data models.
• Good understanding of inbound data flows and data integration.
• Experience working within established CI/CD frameworks.
• Previous experience in data migration and modernisation projects.
• Previous experience within a Treasury environment is essential, with a solid understanding of treasury concepts, processes, and terminology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Good working level of English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote project environment.
