Role Description

The Assurant Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience where interns do not sit on the sidelines. You will gain real-world experience by tackling business challenges and helping drive meaningful outcomes. The program combines hands-on work with learning and development opportunities, mentorship, networking and engagement opportunities, and resources designed to support your professional growth.

This program offers students meaningful, real-world experience while building foundational technical and business skills in a Fortune 500 organization.

The Data Support intern's primary role is to support the department’s systems and staff by recommending and implementing system enhancements that promote efficiency, compliance, and growth. The position requires a well-rounded individual that supports operations staff and systems by maintaining and monitoring production applications, processes, and data.

• Regularly analyzing, maintaining, and supporting system files, tables, and configurations used to drive the base functionality of corporate applications.
• Contributes to support activities and project assignments of low to medium risk and complexity, including:
  • Requirement definition
  • Research
  • Analysis
  • Coordination
  • Testing
  • Training
  • Documentation

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk/Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience extracting and analyzing data from a variety of sources such as Excel, delimited files, fixed width files, APIs, and SQL Server databases.
• Skills in extracting and analyzing data using a variety of methods including SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
