Role Description

As Data Scientist, you will be responsible for building and supporting Power BI reports.

Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources using Cloud Platform and SQL technologies
Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics
Work with stakeholders including data, design, product, and executive teams and assist them with data-related technical issues
Support data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a closely related field
Minimum 4 years development experience with Microsoft Power BI
Minimum 2 years of experience in writing SQL (or similar)
Exposure with any Cloud Platform

Requirements

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
Strong foundation in statistics including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and probability theory
Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques
Skilled in data manipulation and working with various data formats (CSV, JSON, SQL databases, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate insights through data visualization
Experience in data wrangling and ETL processes
Basic knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Hive
Solid understanding of linear algebra, calculus, and optimization techniques
Knowledge of experimental design principles
Ability to share information and knowledge, offering support and cooperation
Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them
Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team
