Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Data Quality Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and organizing our geochemical data. This role will focus on processing and integrating soil, liquid, gas, and vegetation data from internal and external labs into our database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Organize and standardize soil, liquid, gas, vegetation data from external and internal labs
- Transform raw data into structured formats suitable for database integration
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency during the integration process
- Work with IT support to maintain and update the database structure as needed
- Provide regular updates on data processing progress as data dashboards and reports
- Perform rigorous QA/QC checks on data to identify and correct errors
- Communicate effectively with the science and lab teams to resolve data discrepancies and anomalies
Qualifications
- BSc, Master or PhD degree (or relevant, equivalent experience) in soil science, environmental science, geology, geochemistry, chemistry, or a related field
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Fluency in English and Portuguese, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Understand data management principles and practices
- Apply basic geochemical principles to interpret and validate data
- Proficiency in Google Sheets, including functions and formulas
