[Hiring] Data Engineer ETL Testing @S Base Technologies

Role Description

This is a contract with our client Charles Hudson who just won a project- SOW and need this person to start soon. 50-55 corp only Independent Visa. Will hire quickly and want the candidate to start after Memorial Day. What them to be able to work PST. Would hire over GHO or Google chat with the CTO.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in core ETL testing
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis
• Experience in Python programming and scripting skills for ETL Data Validation
• Google BigQuery experience is required; Snowflake experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of data models and data mapping documents
• Experience with ETL tools and database testing
• Experience with retail systems such as eCommerce is a plus
• Lead or project management experience is a plus
• Experience with data profiling or data quality tools (e.g., dbt, Great Expectations, Talend DQ) is a plus

Requirements

• Design, develop, execute ETL test cases to validate data extraction, transformation and loading processes.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to perform data validation and back-end testing.
• Identify, report and track defects using defect tracking tools.
• Conduct thorough testing of Google BigQuery data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to understand data models, data mapping documents, ER diagrams.
• Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Utilize test management tools to track and report testing activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members across multiple time zones.
• Apply strong QA methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrate flexibility with work timings to accommodate global team schedules.
