[Hiring] Business Analyst Planner @Avantor

Role Description

The Business Analyst Planner is responsible to provide support to the European planning team for their routine and preparatory tasks. This role is vital for maintaining data accuracy, communicating with stakeholders, and supporting the overall efficiency of planning processes to ensure effective and timely execution of planning activities.

• Carries out day-to-day procurement objectives by adhering to a varied set of procedures.
• Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled.
• Maintains inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
• Converts Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order.
• Monitors inventory requests, production schedules, and purchase requisitions.
• Ensures all SLA & KPI metrics are adhered to.
• Engages with internal teams and external contacts to exchange procurement-related information.
• Resolves vendor performance issues or unforeseen delivery delays.

• Assist with Unit of Measure (UOM) changes, including inventory and consumption setting adjustments.
• Perform updates to material master data for routine changes (MOQ, rounding value).
• Support product discontinuation activities, including centralizing and selling out remaining stock.
• Manage batch and general transfer requests across the Europe distribution network.
• Respond to general sales order inquiries and escalate issues where necessary.
• Process and analyze reservation contracts for customers.
• Process and analyze customer return requests.
• Support CVC consistency checks and alignment in APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization).
• Support with correct setup of our supply chain network flow, considering regulatory and temperature specifics.
• Assist in warehouse relocation activities by updating supply chain network settings and monitoring stock movement.
• Conduct monthly checks on stock discrepancies and perform corrective actions.
• Release blocked sales orders (P2 blocks) by liaising with Customer Service teams.
• Handle ad hoc reporting and data preparation.
• Support with allocation and respond to mails received at the central planning mailbox.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Management or other applicable discipline preferred.
• 1-3 years supply chain experience.
• APICS/CPIM certification desirable.
• Experience with ERP systems (especially SAP) and forecasting tools (e.g., APO) is strongly desired.
• Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with large data sets.
• Proactive and curious; willing to ask questions and seek clarification.
• Capable of working independently and remotely, following established procedures.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with PowerBI and QlikView for reporting.
