Role Description

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support business and IT change initiatives within a UK financial services organisation. This is a long-term B2B contract role focused on requirements analysis, stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, and supporting successful delivery across business and technology teams.

You will work closely with project managers, delivery leads, technical teams, and business stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, identify gaps, and help translate business objectives into clear, actionable solutions. The position is remote and suitable for candidates based in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, or Poland with EU nationality. Occasional travel to the UK may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and expected outcomes.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for technical and delivery teams.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Produce clear business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and supporting documentation.
• Support solution design by clarifying requirements and validating proposed approaches.
• Work with project managers, developers, architects, QA teams, and other delivery stakeholders.
• Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle and support change-control activities.
• Define and maintain traceability between business requirements and delivered solutions.
• Support testing activities by helping define acceptance criteria and validating business outcomes.
• Assist with user acceptance testing and business readiness activities where required.
• Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, and issues related to business requirements.
• Provide clear progress and requirements status updates to project and senior stakeholders.
• Support successful implementation and transition of business and technology changes.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience working as a Business Analyst in business and/or IT change environments.
• Current or recent hands-on business analysis experience.
• Strong requirements-gathering, analysis, and documentation skills.
• Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
• Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Strong understanding of business processes and process-mapping techniques.
• Experience managing requirements through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Understanding of change control, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and supporting testing or UAT activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• English at C1 level or equivalent professional fluency, both spoken and written.
• Ability to communicate confidently with UK-based stakeholders.
• EU nationality.
• Based in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, or Poland.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the UK.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience within financial services.
• Experience in another regulated industry.
• Previous experience supporting both business and technology change projects.
• Exposure to large programmes with multiple workstreams.
• Experience working in consultancy or professional delivery environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience using tools for requirements management, process modelling, or delivery tracking.
• Business analysis certification such as BCS, IIBA, or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with UK-based organisations or stakeholders.
