Role Description

This position can be located anywhere in the Maritimes. We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our team!

• The Business Analyst is relied on by Management to develop and roll out internal and customer facing reports and dashboards.
• Responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and providing meaningful financial information required for strategic decision-making.
• Directly involved in both financial and operational forecasting and reporting.
• Projects assigned are often deadline-oriented, requiring strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, and proven reliability.
• Exhibit the initiative to question and investigate matters, providing an element of ‘added value’ to each request.
• Play a critical role in advancing data-driven decision making through AI-enabled reporting solutions, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, predictive analytics, and executive dashboards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of work experience in application integration and/or business intelligence.
• Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel/Access/PowerBI with comfort in manipulating large amounts of data.
• Strong understanding of relational databases.
• Experienced with SAP, Business Warehouse.
• Experienced with Microsoft SQL, VBA Scripting, and PowerShell scripting.
• AI-assisted reporting platforms.
• Experienced with Tableau and other data visualization software, ServiceNOW, and SmartSheets platform an asset.
• Excellent listening and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent grammar, written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ease in representing the Department at all staff levels.
• High degree of initiative and enthusiasm; commitment to preparation stages for end product.
• Detailed-oriented; placing a great value on accuracy.

Requirements

• Create dynamic dashboards, customer presentations, and reports by gathering data from various sources.
• Develop process to minimize user intervention in the dashboard refresh and updating process.
• Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods.
• Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
• Provide technical support and training for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
• Document specifications for all internal/external facing reports and collateral.
• Develop automated reporting processes.
• Conduct analysis to provide accurate and timely information for meaningful decision making.
• Implement KPIs for improved measurable results.
• Analyze large datasets for business insight.
