Role Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing Data Analytics Team. In this role, you will focus on transforming data into compelling stories and actionable insights. You’ll work closely with external stakeholders and the sales team to interpret data, craft meaningful business narratives, and support strategic decisions. This role does not require deep technical skills, but proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and spreadsheet management is essential, while familiarity with Python is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Storytelling: Transform complex data into clear, compelling narratives to help stakeholders understand business trends and opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with external stakeholders to interpret and present data insights that align with their business needs.
- Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to create data-driven stories that highlight business strengths and drive client engagement.
- Dashboard Development: Design and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize key metrics and trends.
- SQL Analysis: Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze data for reporting and insights.
- Spreadsheet Management: Create, maintain, and QA spreadsheets to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all data and reports meet quality standards and are free from errors before delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying data.
- Experience building visualizations and dashboards in Tableau (or similar BI tools).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data management.
- Familiarity with Python is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for data storytelling.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
