[Hiring] BI Report Developer @University of Miami

Role Description

Designs, develops and tunes dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.

• Works with ETL developers to determine report design strategies.
• Collaborates with application analysts to identify and understand source data systems.
• Seeks opportunities to improve current processes or find efficiencies by applying industry best practices for BI development.
• Handles security setup and maintenance, tool administration, and data modeling.
• Develops and implements application documentation and training materials.
• Maintains communication with management and users during development or maintenance cycles.
• Reviews, tests, and evaluates reports, queries, dashboards, and analytical tools developed by teammates prior to production.
• Develops and/or assists in the creation of project time estimates.
• Provides post-implementation support for user questions and fine-tuning of processes.
• Collects requirements and specifications to aid team leads in prioritization and resource allocation.
• Coordinates users' activities during application development and maintains data and system integrity.
• Provides supervision and leadership to staff, as appropriate.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Industrial / Management Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional presentation and analytical skills.
• Highly self-motivated.
• Works effectively as part of a team or independently.

Requirements

• SQL Reporting Proficiency/Certification.
• EPIC Cogito Fundamentals Proficiency/Certification.
• EPIC Clarity Fundamentals Proficiency/Certification.
• EPIC Access, Clinical or Revenue Data Models Proficiency/Certification.
• Business Intelligence: Power BI, Tableau or other related tools.
• Reporting Tools.
• Using Excel for data analysis.
• Microsoft SQL Server.
