Role Description
This role involves providing exceptional support to partners and their customers in the payroll industry.
- Keep the queue flowing by tackling a high number of support requests with speed and precision.
- Solve hard problems by diving deep into payroll and tax questions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Be a source of calm and confidence, building trust through empathy and transparency.
- Know when to pick up the phone to resolve complex issues in real time.
- Escalate wisely by knowing when to involve teammates or escalate issues.
- Collaborate across teams to facilitate communication and cooperation.
- Deliver service that feels personal and memorable, making people feel heard and valued.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a client or partner-facing role
- 2+ years of experience in payroll
- Located in or willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM PT)
- Deep passion for solving customer problems
- Thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Eagle eye for details, especially when moving quickly
- Clear and kind communication skills over email, phone, or chat
- Comfort with ticketing systems and tracking work (e.g., Salesforce, ZenDesk)
- Willingness to attend the annual 3-day company offsite in the spring
Requirements
- Ability to handle a high volume of support requests
- Strong problem-solving skills in payroll and tax scenarios
- Empathy and ownership in customer interactions
- Collaboration skills across various teams
