Role Description

Responsible for transposing voice messages accurately into EClinicalWorks and Epic (EMR). Ability to multitask and toggle between multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume office environment. Will assist with patient communication via various communication tools. Supervised by Triage Admin Coordinator.

• Monitoring PerfectServe voicemails and transposing calls to EClinicalWorks with superb accuracy including proper spelling and grammar for high call volume practice Parkside Pediatrics, along with Parkside Family Medicine, and Parkside Behavioral Health.
• Required to call back callers if no patient demographics are left on voicemails to verify account information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Monitoring PerfectServe voicemails during after-hours and transposing calls into Epic with superb accuracy including proper spelling and grammar for Parkside OBGYN.
• Completing daily administrative tasks including but not limited to assisting with Web Portal Messages, writing and sending patient letters while multitasking entering nurse calls.
• Required to rotate weekends/holidays. Saturday and Holiday shifts will consist of monitoring PerfectServe voicemails and transposing calls for Parkside Pediatrics, Parkside Family Medicine, Parkside OBGYN.
• Required to check the out-of-the-office box and schedule any Newborn Encounters that have been discharged from local hospitals in a timely manner.
• Sunday shifts are on-call hours from 8a-5p and are used primarily if our after-hours nurses need assistance during high call volume.
• Attending team development meetings and training throughout the year, including quarterly team retreats.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• Medical office experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with customer service focus required.
• Strong team-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable with computer skills and typing.
• Minimum education requirements - High School Diploma or GED.

Requirements

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.
• Constant wear of a headset for often 8 hours or more.
• Required to have a designated quiet/private environment to listen to voicemails and access Patient Health Information (PHI).
• Prohibition of unauthorized persons viewing Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Work from home during allocated shifts designated for this position.
• A PC with at least 4GB of RAM.
• 20 GB of free Hard Drive storage.
• Wired Ethernet connection to internet router.
• At least 10 Mbps High speed internet access.
• Available port on your internet router for phone.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• If unable to work from home due to internet or connection issues, will go to a Parkside location to finish shift or until the issue is resolved.
