Role Description

The Stock Availability Reply Assistant is responsible for providing accurate information regarding product availability based on current stock checks. This is a remote customer service role connected to an online stock or order system.

• Answer customer inquiries about product availability.
• Check the current stock record at the time of the enquiry.
• Use approved wording to explain stock status.
• Pass questions to the stock team if information is unavailable or discrepancies arise.
• Clarify customer inquiries when product descriptions are ambiguous.
• Maintain a record of item checks and customer enquiries.
• Direct reservations, substitutions, or fulfilment decisions to the appropriate team.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is useful but not required.
• Ability to compare item descriptions with records.
• Clear communication skills.
• Basic computer use and attention to detail are important.

Requirements

• Ability to check relevant product variations in the current online system.
• Ability to explain displayed availability using approved language.
• Ability to note the item and time of the check in the enquiry record.
• Ability to keep customer replies linked to original questions.
