The Service Category Tagging Assistant reviews assigned online cases and applies the employer's approved category labels where the evidence is clear. This remote records role supports customer service and office administration by making a queue easier to search and report on.

• Read assigned customer cases in a web-based system.
• Compare each case with the current category guide.
• Apply a permitted primary or secondary label when supported.
• Flag mixed or unclear topics for review.
• Follow current mappings for retired category names.
• Track completed items and exceptions in the assigned batch.
• Preserve the original messages and case ownership.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service or office administration experience can help you understand the cases.
• No special taxonomy background is required; the company will teach its categories and review thresholds.
• Comfortable reading carefully and making concise notes.
• Ability to resist the urge to classify an issue from a subject line alone.

Requirements

• Ability to identify cases that need to be left for review, such as:
• One message contains two different service concerns.
• The customer's subject line differs from the message body.
• A case was transferred and its topic changed.
• The current guide has no category that fits.
• A retired label needs an approved mapping.
• A sensitive matter should use a restricted tag.
• Record examples without copying full customer details into a broad report.
• Apply reviewer clarifications consistently to the remaining assigned batch.
• Maintain accuracy in categorization to ensure useful search and routing.
