Role Description

We are looking for a Patient Advocate to be the knowledgeable, compassionate guide members rely on when navigating copay assistance for their specialty medications. This is a role for someone who can make a complicated process feel simple, keep many cases moving at once, and bring care to every member interaction.

• Identify the right manufacturer copay assistance program for each member.
• Guide members through enrollment by walking eligible members through the copay assistance application process and completing enrollment workflows with speed and accuracy.
• Act as the liaison between members, copay assistance programs, providers, and pharmacies to resolve issues.
• Obtain or provide necessary information and ensure appropriate billing procedures are followed.
• Help members, providers, and pharmacies understand HelpScript services and copay assistance enrollment details.
• Maintain complete, accurate documentation of member interactions and program status.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations in every interaction.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve member inquiries quickly and accurately.
• Meet performance metrics and service standards while making sure every member feels supported and informed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or pharmacy setting.
• Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent pharmacy experience.
• Strong background in pharmacy billing, medical claims processing, or benefit systems.
• Working knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit systems and copay assistance programs.
• Familiarity with Third Party Administrator (TPA) or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and quick-turnaround deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills, with a clear and empathetic communication style.
• A high level of integrity and discretion, including a strong commitment to HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote team environment.
