[Hiring] Dental Insurance Verification & Billing Specialist @Helm

Role Description

We’re looking for a Dental Insurance Verification & Billing Specialist to join our growing team at The Coordinators! You’d be working remotely with our client in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery space.

In this role, you will manage insurance verification and dental billing operations, ensuring accurate documentation of patient benefits and timely claim processing. You will work closely with insurance providers, handle EOBs, and support patients with insurance-related inquiries while maintaining organized and compliant records. This is a highly hands-on, patient-facing administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to procedures.
• Accurately document insurance benefits within the system.
• Handle and review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Manage dental billing workflows and claim processing.
• Communicate with insurance providers to confirm coverage and resolve issues.
• Assist patients with insurance-related questions when needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized records within the EHR system.
• Support overall billing and insurance operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing to avoid delays or denials.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in dental billing and insurance verification (required).
• Experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery preferred.
• Medical billing experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of insurance workflows, benefits, and EOBs.
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear, professional communication.
• Ability to communicate confidently with patients and represent the practice well.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment.
• High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and respect in all patient interactions.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and develop yourself professionally.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Wednesday & Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Range

$1,000 - $1,400 per month
