[Hiring] Customer Service Representative I @IU Health

Role Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responds to patient/customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
• Medical Customer Service / Prior Authorization experience with preferred experience of 1-3 years in a high-volume, clerical healthcare environment (centralized scheduling, referral processing, insurance verification, and medical policies).
• This role supports multiple locations and requires managing complex information with strong attention to detail and self-discipline.
• Determines the best method for problem resolution of basic issues, meeting patient/customer needs and organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments for issue resolutions as necessary.
• Accurately gathers and documents patient/customer information and interactions for database recording and scheduling.
• Processes orders, exchanges, and other service requests.
• Maintains professionalism and a positive attitude in all patient/customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Requires the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• MUST be located in Indiana.
• Training will be at the Sleep Lab located at 714 N. Senate Avenue, Indianapolis, IN for approx. 3-4 weeks.
• Remote position currently; but subject to change.
• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
