[Hiring] Client Service Specialist @Relation Insurance Services

Role Description

The Client Service Specialist executes all administrative tasks related to account management and policy servicing. These duties include:

• Processing policy endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and maintaining accurate account records.
• Ensuring timely and accurate handling of client requests, policy updates, and back-end service work to support the overall client experience and meet internal compliance standards.

• Maintaining client files and ensuring accurate account information.
• Processing policy change requests.
• Following up on policy change requests/endorsements, checking endorsements for accuracy, processing completed endorsements, and preparing for delivery.
• Ordering renewal policies, verifying them against proposals, and processing them in the Agency Management System.
• Entering and rating policies in carrier websites and ordering new policies as needed.
• Issuing standard certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and other forms for policy holders.
• Preparing policy cancellation/lost policy release forms and sending to clients; following up on policy cancellations as needed.
• Ordering motor vehicle reports “MVRs” and loss runs as directed.
• Reviewing and processing mail; acting as a backup for office phone calls and walk-in traffic as needed.
• Fully adopting innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, into the service process to deliver a best-in-class client service experience.
• Performing other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Property and Casualty License from state of domicile may be required within 90 days of hire and must be maintained thereafter.
• Associate in insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; may be required, depending on location.
• 1+ year experience in Customer Service.
• Knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures.
• Working knowledge of personal lines of coverage.
• Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel).
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are required to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others.
• Ability to understand written and oral communications and interpret information written within policies.
• Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision and to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to function effectively under tight time constraints, consistently meet strict deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
