Role Description

The Senior Compliance Solutions Engineer is the technical owner and primary engineer for an enterprise compliance and investigation platform built on Microsoft Power Platform. This role is not a traditional low-code role; it includes a substantial custom JavaScript application layer, custom HTML/CSS/Liquid, Dataverse, Power Automate, custom APIs/plugins, and supporting automation. The engineer is responsible for:

• Continuing to build, enhance, secure, document, and support the platform across the full software-development lifecycle.
• Using modern agentic AI coding tools as a core engineering workflow.
• Combining strong technical judgment with the ability to translate compliance and audit needs into scalable, user-friendly technology solutions.

Essential Job Functions

• Serve as the technical owner for the compliance solutions platform, translating business requirements into solution architecture, development plans, production releases, and ongoing enhancements.
• Design, build, and maintain custom Power Pages experiences that rely on substantial JavaScript.
• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows for case processing, approvals, notifications, and operational monitoring.
• Develop server-side extensions when low-code capabilities are insufficient.
• Create and maintain supporting automation using various scripting technologies.
• Review and validate AI-generated code before deployment.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise services and data sources.
• Maintain source control, solution packaging, and technical documentation.
• Perform hands-on production support and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and execute various testing types, including developer testing and UAT support.
• Support historical and ongoing data migration activities.
• Maintain architecture documentation and operational runbooks.
• Partner with Compliance, Privacy, Internal Audit, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Develop and support AI-enabled capabilities within compliance workflows.
• Provide user support, technical guidance, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Demonstrate collaboration, accountability, trust, initiative, inclusion, and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in application development, solution engineering, or comparable technical roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform experience; meaningful Power Pages development experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and modern browser application development.
• Demonstrated experience taking ambiguous business requirements from concept through production support.
• Experience with Git/source control and disciplined software-development practices.
• Experience leading technical workstreams or acting as the primary technical owner for an application or platform is preferred.

Requirements

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience using at least one agentic coding environment - Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
• Experience using Claude Code or Codex for multi-file implementation, debugging, and documentation.
• Ability to direct AI agents effectively and validate the final implementation.
• Strong engineering judgment when working with AI-generated code.
• Commitment to using approved AI tools responsibly.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced Power Pages development skills.
• Strong Power Automate skills.
• Strong Dataverse design skills.
• Working knowledge of C# and Dataverse plugins/custom APIs.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure services.
• Experience with Power Platform ALM and deployment profiles.
• Strong testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
• Experience with Copilot Studio or other enterprise AI capabilities is beneficial.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOX, privacy, compliance, and audit is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation.
