Role Description

The Health and Safety Advisor will be a champion for fire safety and health of safety within our 3rd party managed BTR residential buildings portfolio and any associated offices. As part of your role, you will assist in ensuring that our company adheres to our legal requirements under fire safety and health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, alongside the Health and Safety Compliance Manager, to ensure that in-house policies are in line with current legislation and best practices.
• Assist in enforcing fire safety and health and safety legislation in all aspects and levels within the business.
• Support operational teams and the client Asset Management team in providing guidance on health and safety and fire safety matters.
• Address queries that may arise, including compliance-related projects using 3rd party contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety position with hands-on Health and Safety experience, ideally within the residential building sector.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with proven experience communicating with a variety of both health and safety and non-health and safety professionals.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Good technical skills in PC applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with CDM and fire safety would be a benefit.
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.

Requirements

• Basic DBS clearance is required prior to the commencement of employment.
