[Hiring] Analytic Compliance, Audit Analyst II @FICO

Role Description

Do you have a STEM background and an analytical mindset, and want to apply that thinking to real business risk instead of a traditional audit career track? This entry-level role sits at the intersection of data science and compliance — you'll perform analytic audits of FICO's Business-to-Business (B2B) analytic product development and deployment, and our Business-to-Consumer (B2C) web-based financial education platform, myfico.com. No prior audit experience required: we're looking for people who think like analysts and investigators first, and we'll train you on audit methodology.

What You'll Contribute

• Perform analytic audits — data-driven reviews of B2B analytic products and B2C (myfico.com) platforms — evaluating how models, data, and business processes are built, tested, and controlled, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Apply an investigative, hypothesis-driven approach to compliance monitoring and periodic testing: dig into data and process anomalies, form hypotheses about root cause, and validate them with evidence rather than relying on a checklist.
• Analyze samples of data, transactions, or system outputs to test whether controls are operating as intended; document methodology and findings clearly enough for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Build working knowledge of FICO's analytic product development lifecycle, data ecosystems, and associated controls across both B2B and B2C environments; partner with engineering, product, and data science teams to understand how systems actually work before assessing them.
• Track open findings through resolution, escalating to senior staff as needed, and contribute to management reporting on compliance program performance.
• Stay current on state and federal regulations, industry best practices in consumer protection and data privacy, and how they translate into technical and analytic requirements, in coordination with FICO's Corporate Legal Department.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent analytic reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (data science, statistics, computer science, applied math, economics, or related quantitative discipline) (Highly Preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, analytics, quantitative research, or a related technical role, with high preference for prior exposure or experience to supporting compliance analytics, evaluating risks, and maintaining applicable documentation.
• Proven experience working in a highly regulated industry (banking, consumer lending, healthcare, insurance, fintech) (Highly Preferred), and/or experience auditing analytics.
• A natural investigative mindset: curious, skeptical of surface-level explanations, comfortable digging into data to find the "why" behind a pattern.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical rigor, paired with the ability to translate technical findings into clear written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
• Comfort with data analysis tools — Excel (including pivot tables) at minimum; Jira, Tableau, or similar a strong plus. Skilled in using AI tools to increase efficiency across the analytic workflow.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative; comfortable learning on the job in a highly regulated, fast-moving environment.

• The targeted base pay range for this role is: $70,000 to $110,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
