Role Description

The Communications and Corporate Relations Intern supports the planning and execution of the organization’s communication strategy.

Essential Functions:

• Support in the execution of communication strategies for key audiences; tactics to include:
• Development of blog posts and advertorial content
• Participation in community outreach events
• Development of content for earned media
• Content development for consumer and internal websites
• Assisting in the coordination and execution of Community Outreach events
• Social media strategy planning, content development, and posting
• Participating in reporting meetings with internal partners and digital advertising agency
• Compiling media campaign and social media analytics for monthly reporting

Qualifications

• Possess the ability to write with clarity, confidence, and in a professional tone.
• Graphic design or video editing skills a plus but not required.
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and task-oriented.
• Excellent grammar, typing, and computer skills.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or another related field.

Working Conditions

• General office environment.
• Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

• Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
