[Hiring] US BD & Partnerships Lead @AC Lion Digital Media Executive Search

Role Description

We’re a venture-backed, early-stage consumer rewards platform building a new model for consumer acquisition, and we’re looking for a commercial hunter to help build our US business from the ground up. You’ll own US BD and partnerships, build the market, land the first major brands and ultimately build the US commercial engine.

This is not a traditional SaaS sales role. We need a market builder who can create brand relationships, partnerships and distribution channels in the US, someone who understands growth economics and can turn relationships into both direct revenue and partnerships.

Qualifications

• An entrepreneurial commercial operator with 7 to 10 years of experience who knows CPG and Beauty brands.
• Strong track record of business development, partnerships and new-logo acquisition with CPG, Beauty, Wellness or other consumer brands.
• Existing relationships with CMOs, VP Growth, VP Marketing, CRM, Loyalty and Ecommerce leaders.
• Deep relationships across relevant brands matter more than a prestigious logo on your resume.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of BD, partnerships, sales or commercial experience.
• A proven hunter, not primarily an account manager.
• Experience selling to CPG, Beauty, Wellness, Apparel or other consumer brands.
• An existing network across US consumer brands.
• Strong relationships with CMO, Growth, CRM, Loyalty and Ecommerce buyers.
• A track record of personally originating and closing deals.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships and channel relationships.
• Comfortable building a market or territory from scratch.
• Strong understanding of customer acquisition, loyalty, rewards, promotions and consumer engagement.
• Strong commercial instincts.
• Entrepreneurial and comfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage environment.
• Able to both open the door and close the deal.

• Agency relationships.
• Loyalty or rewards experience.
• Performance marketing background.
• Ecommerce ecosystem experience.
• Experience taking an international product into the US.

How Success Is Measured

• First 6 months: build the US target-account map, establish senior relationships, create agency and channel partnerships, land initial lighthouse brands and establish a repeatable US sales motion.
• 12 months: a meaningful US revenue pipeline, a repeatable acquisition channel, several major consumer brand relationships, and agency and strategic partnerships generating inbound opportunities.
