[Hiring] Senior Manager, Business Development @RTX

Role Description

As the Senior Manager for Business Development, Requirements, and Capabilities – Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption, you will play a critical role in identifying, shaping, and securing new business opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth, influence product development, and establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Your efforts will ensure the company remains competitive in the market while meeting customer needs.

• Lead the identification, development, and capture of new business opportunities within the Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio.
• Brief senior leaders in the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and other government entities to align on strategic goals and opportunities.
• Oversee white paper and proposal development, lead capture teams, and manage the lifecycle of the pursuit, order, and capture process.
• Negotiate and close new business opportunities while ensuring alignment with customer and market requirements.
• Provide input into product development and strategic planning to address customer needs and market trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with U.S. Government and non-Government customers to identify and pursue potential new markets.
• Evaluate competitor solutions and assess the company’s positioning against market trends and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management and engineering, to drive business growth and innovation.
• Travel up to 50% may be required to support business development activities and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPs) related to secure communications, modular open systems architecture (MOSA), and cryptography.
• Experience with the lifecycle of the pursuit, order, and capture process.
• Experience directly supporting U.S. Government acquisitions.

Requirements

• Previous work experience with a cryptographic product/systems prime contractor.
• Experience working with the NSA and other Intelligence Community and Military Services stakeholders.
• Proven track record of closing deals, building partnerships, or driving revenue in high-growth environments.
• Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and cryptographic protocols.
• Leadership experience and decision-making capabilities in complex business environments.
