[Hiring] Proposal Specialist @Alimentiv

Role Description

As a Proposal Specialist, you will support Alimentiv's Business Development team in preparing high-quality proposals, clinical trial budgets and Statements of Work (SOWs) for new business opportunities.

Working closely with Business Development Managers, clinical subject matter experts and cross-functional teams, you will help develop customised, accurate and competitive responses to Sponsor requirements. This role combines proposal development, CRO costing and project coordination, with a particular focus on preparing and refining clinical trial budgets, coordinating proposal inputs and supporting the overall proposal process.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of customised proposals in response to RFPs and RFIs, collaborating with Business Development Managers and clinical and operational teams.
• Review Sponsor requirements, gather relevant information and document assumptions to ensure proposals are accurate and comprehensive.
• Prepare initial clinical trial costing assumptions and develop CRO budgets using Alimentiv costing tools, working with clinical experts to refine and finalise budgets.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors and site partners to obtain costing inputs and ensure consolidated budgets are accurate before executive review.
• Support the preparation of Statements of Work (SOWs), proposal amendments and budget revisions.
• Assist with coordinating proposal timelines, internal contributions and deliverables to ensure submissions meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Participate in bid/no-bid discussions, proposal strategy meetings and project hand-offs, with occasional involvement in bid defence activities.
• Maintain accurate proposal documentation and contribute to improvements in Business Development tools, templates and processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience building clinical trial budgets within a CRO environment is required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in proposal development, clinical research, CRO costing, Business Development or a related field.
• Post-secondary certificate or diploma required; a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a scientific or related discipline, is preferred.
• Good understanding of clinical trial budgeting, costing processes and proposal development.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a logical, process-oriented approach.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
