Role Description

The Director of Business Development plays a pivotal role in driving growth and expansion for JGMS Family of Companies. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this leadership position is responsible for:

• Identifying strategic opportunities
• Forging key partnerships
• Driving revenue growth by creating, assessing, and managing business opportunities
• Collaboratively developing and maintaining the JGMS strategic priorities

This senior leader will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and managing the development of the JGMS corporate strategic plan
• Leading and managing the Bids and Proposals Team
• Managing business growth and fostering a culture of business development excellence
• Leading market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders
• Evaluating and recommending new product or service offerings
• Assisting in identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets
• Developing and managing the business development budget
• Providing regular reports and updates to the Executive Team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, business, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience
• Proven track record in business development, capture, and winning work in the federal contracting environment
• DOE and DOW knowledge and network of industry contacts is required
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic business environment
• Willingness to travel, as required (expected travel is 25-50 percent)

Requirements

• The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE or DoD Security Clearance - Secret, Top Secret, L or Q is required
• A pre-employment drug screening and background review is required
