Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead the company’s growth strategy and expand its market presence. This role will be responsible for:

• Identifying and cultivating high-value business opportunities.
• Building strategic partnerships.

• Converting market opportunities into sustainable business growth.

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded relationship builder who combines strong business acumen with exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills. This leader will work cross-functionally with senior leadership and key internal teams to:

• Strengthen client and partner relationships.
• Position the organization for long-term growth.

The Director of Business Development will bring an entrepreneurial mindset, a strong network-building capability, and a proven ability to move opportunities from initial concept through execution and measurable results. Success in this role requires both a strategic vision and a hands-on approach to creating, advancing, and closing meaningful opportunities.

This is a remote-based position in the U.S., with a base salary of $125,000 per year, with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct outbound sales, business development, or enterprise software sales, with a documented history of meeting or exceeding assigned financial targets.
• Professional experience in the live entertainment, sports, or ticketing industries (e.g., primary/secondary ticketing platforms, venue operations, live events, or sports entertainment is preferred).
• Strong familiarity with the live event ecosystem, including ticketing workflows, primary/secondary ticketing dynamics, and venue operations.
• Experience working with executive leadership, managing senior-level client interactions, and navigating complex corporate decision-making structures.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage full sales cycles, including prospecting, discovery calls, contract finalization, and successful client activation.
• Clear, direct written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting software platforms to executive decision-makers.
• Proficiency in using Salesforce to track prospective clients, log communications, and manage sales stages.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel up to 30–40% for prospective client meetings, negotiations, and industry events.
