[Hiring] Business Development Representative @MetalBear

Role Description

MetalBear is looking for a talented Business Development Representative (BDR) to help drive pipeline growth across North America. This is a great opportunity to join us as the first BDR in North America, at a seed-funded, growth-stage company in one of the most exciting areas of developer tooling. You'll help shape our sales motion in the region and directly influence how engineering teams ship code faster with mirrord, the connection between AI agents (and the developers using them) and the live Kubernetes clusters their code runs in.

You'll report directly to our VP of Sales, work closely with AEs and Marketing to improve prospecting, targeting and messaging, and handle 100% of inbound signals while building a strong outbound engine. This role is ideal for someone who is both sales-minded and technically curious, and comfortable building their own workflows, sequences and automations. The role is based in the Americas time zones.

What You'll Do

• Drive outbound outreach through very qualified cold outreach by phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels, using AI to research and personalize at scale.
• Qualify and convert inbound signals into sales meetings, including signals showing product usage.
• Research accounts using our toolset, identify entrance vectors and contacts, and tailor outreach to the right personas.
• Partner with Biz Ops and Marketing to hone targeting and messaging.
• Partner with AEs on prep to maximize conversion to subsequent meetings and pipeline.
• Build and optimize sequences, automations and GTM data infrastructure using tools like HubSpot, Lemlist, Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and TitanX.

Qualifications

• Experience working with companies that specialize in tooling in and adjacent to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and other dev tools; curiosity and a modicum of domain knowledge are important.
• 2-4 years of BDR/SDR experience in B2B SaaS.
• Founding SDR experience, or experience at a small startup where you were expected to build your own workflows, sequences and processes from scratch.
• Hands-on experience with cold calling and cold outreach via email and social channels, ideally AI-assisted.
• Proven success creating qualified pipeline (not just booking meetings).
• Fluent English and strong written communication skills.
• Experience building or maintaining data and automation workflows across the GTM stack.
• Based in the Americas, with working hours overlapping North American time zones.
