[Hiring] Business Development Manager @the Opportunity

Role Description

We are seeking Business Development Contractors to identify companies with valuable operational data and develop potential data-licensing partnerships. This is an external-facing opportunity for strong communicators who are comfortable with:

• Outbound outreach
• Senior stakeholders
• Discovery conversations
• Fast-moving sales cycles

You will engage founders and business owners, explain partnership opportunities, and manage prospects through signed agreements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales.
• Confidence communicating with founders, executives, and business owners.
• Ability to manage conversations and opportunities through the sales cycle.
• Availability to contribute up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Identify and contact prospective data partners.
• Lead discovery calls and communicate the value of potential partnerships.
• Address questions related to data use, privacy, security, and anonymization.
• Manage opportunities from initial outreach through closing.
• Coordinate partner onboarding with internal teams.
