[Hiring] Business Development Manager @Bitdeer Technologies Group

Role Description

The Business Development Manager will oversee client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and growth within the cryptocurrency mining sector, including a focus on energy and power infrastructure. This role involves strategic planning, customer onboarding, and managing key accounts to maximize business opportunities.

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients including institutions, mining companies, individuals and will serve as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters.
• Sales & Business Development: Identify opportunities for new business within existing accounts and onboarding of new clients.
• Project Coordination: Oversee mining operations projects, coordinating with technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Reporting & Analysis: Monitor client account performance, prepare detailed reports, and present insights to stakeholders.
• Market Insight: Stay updated on trends in crypto mining, blockchain technology, and competitor activities to offer strategic advice.
• Problem Resolution: Address client concerns promptly, implementing improvements to enhance satisfaction and retention rates.

Qualifications

• B2B sales or business development experience, with the ability to independently originate customers and projects.
• Experience in equipment sales, particularly mining machines, power equipment, data center infrastructure, or other technical products, is highly preferred.
• Ability to develop and close direct miner sales opportunities, while also identifying broader co-mining, hosting, data center, and site partnership opportunities.
• Strong commercial awareness of energy, power, data centers, or industrial infrastructure, with a basic understanding of power pricing, grid interconnection, substations, power capacity, and project development timelines.
• Experience with power developers, IPPs, utilities, natural gas, data centers, EPC companies, electrical equipment, or Bitcoin mining is preferred.
• Ability to develop local customers, power resources, sites, and strategic partners in Canada from the ground up.
• Strong commercial analysis and project execution capabilities, rather than focusing only on relationship management.
• Strong ownership, execution, and the ability to independently represent the company with customers and partners.
• Bitcoin industry experience is preferred but not required, provided the candidate has strong technical aptitude and learning ability.
