[Hiring] Business Development Manager @Xylem

Role Description

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. To achieve this, they need to find potential new customers, present to them, ultimately convert them into clients, and continue to grow business in the future.

• Developing Growth Strategies and Plans: Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
• Managing and Retaining Relationships with Existing Clients: Increasing client base.
• Writing Business Proposals: Negotiating with stakeholders.
• Identifying and Mapping Business Strengths and Customer Needs: Researching business opportunities and viable income streams.
• Following Industry Trends Locally and Internationally: Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements.

• Strategic Decision Making: Assess complex situations, consider long-term implications, and make decisions that align with the organization’s vision and goals.
• Effective Communication: Articulate vision, expectations, and feedback clearly and transparently.
• Fostering Team Growth: Encourage and support the development of team members in a continuous learning environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field with at least 5 years experience with Utility Sales, and at least 2 years experience involved with Asset Management work or equivalent work experience.
• Planning and Scheduling: Proficiently create project plans, define milestones, and establish timelines.
• Budgeting: Skillfully manage project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenses.
• Resource Allocation: Allocate personnel, tools, and other resources efficiently to achieve project goals.
• End-to-end Project Management: Lead improvement projects from initiation to completion.
