Role Description

We are excited to announce a new opportunity within our Optum Life Sciences team for the role of Business Development Associate. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in building the pipeline for our Optum Life Sciences sales team.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Generating new pipeline for your territory within the Life sciences marketplace for Pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and other related fields.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to influence existing pipeline, ensuring seamless coordination, and assisting in executing campaign outreach strategies.
• Participating in conferences, events, webinars, and other marketing and sales efforts to help qualify new leads and opportunities as well as support meeting coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in business development or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools (preferred in Salesforce).
• Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable).
• Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Reside in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Requirements

• Experience in a business development or sales role, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare sector.
• Experience with Marketing Automation Tools.
• Experience with Segmentation Tools.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Proven understanding of the healthcare landscape and industry trends.
• Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time.
