[Hiring] Worship Technical Specialist @Lifeway Christian Resources

Role Description

Lifeway is seeking a Worship Technical Specialist to serve as a key resource for Lifeway Worship, blending technical expertise with a heart for ministry to support churches and worship teams across the country. In this role, you will manage digital and physical worship assets, provide advanced technical support for LifewayWorship.com, and collaborate with programmers, legal, and ministry leadership on strategic worship initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands both the technical and ministry dimensions of worship resource development and wants their work to have lasting impact in the local church.

Responsibilities

• Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
• Limited travel: 2-4 times per year, typically overnight
• Provide advanced technical support for LifewayWorship.com via phone, chat, and email, resolving escalated issues for customers, church partners, and internal support teams
• Serve as the primary liaison for the Lifeway Worship Customer Service Teams channel, assisting Church Sales & Support Specialists with complex or escalated cases
• Investigate and resolve technical and product-related customer inquiries, maintaining a support spreadsheet to ensure timely follow-ups and accurate records
• Manage all digital and physical worship assets, including archive organization, duplication of physical masters, artwork development for vendor relationships, and custom audio edits for church sound systems
• Partner with the Legal team to ensure rights and royalties for worship assets are properly administered
• Coordinate shipping, tracking, and fulfillment of vendor orders and sample products in partnership with the Order Research team
• Oversee One Source administration for Canon accounts and manage Metro 2 mailing list memberships to maintain database accuracy
• Collaborate with programmers on regression testing, bug fixes, and feature support for LifewayWorship.com
• Support and lead new Lifeway Worship initiatives in partnership with the Project Team Leader, including content development and ministry partnerships
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to technical support systems, digital resource management, and customer service processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, Music, or a related field, required
• Master's degree, not required
• Advanced graduate degree (PhD, etc.), not required
• Ability to travel to the Middle Tennessee area 2-4 times annually for team gatherings
• 3+ years of experience in technical support, digital media, or a related field
• Experience in local church music ministry
• Experience in web design and development
• Technical troubleshooting and web platform support
• Digital asset management and organization
• Vendor coordination and order fulfillment
• Clear written and verbal communication across phone, chat, and email
• Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with rights and royalty administration for digital media
• Experience with regression testing or software QA processes
• Experience with audio editing for worship or church sound systems
• Background in content development for digital ministry platforms
