Role Description

Responsible for processing and proofing any work coming into the Center, including:

• Edits, redactions, editing metadata, hyperlinking, and all other facets of litigation.
• Proofreading all work produced to ensure that typographically error-free projects leave the Center.
• Ensuring timeliness, quality, and quantity of work produced.
• Informing attorneys if unable to meet deadlines and providing an estimate of completion time.
• Filling in appropriate information on the Center logs, entering daily time for billing, and logging incoming work.
• Learning new software, machines, telephones, or any other tools the firm provides and informing other personnel regarding helpful hints or new functions learned.
• Helping to troubleshoot other personnel on network applications.
• Answering incoming telephone calls and questions regarding project status, estimated time of completion, and basic software support.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• Following firm and department policies and work procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of actual word processing experience.
• Strong in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with software requirements: iManage, CCC Macro Pro, Nuance OmniPage, PDF Xchange Editor, BestAuthority, TextMap.
• Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, professional demeanor.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively support end-users.
• Capability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.

Requirements

• Must have very strong skills to work in a litigation environment.

Benefits

• Salary: $100,000-$110,000
• Location: NY Office (Remote) - Candidates may work from home full-time after an on-site training period.
• Schedule: Full-Time | PM Shift (3 p.m. - 11 p.m. EST)
• Classification: Non-Exempt
